WELCOME TO NORWEGIAN WILD
Norwegian Wild offers accommodation and experiences in the pristine wilderness at Senja, Norway’s second largest island. Our purpose is to provide “back to nature”-experiences in a cozy and authentic environment.
About us CONTACT US FIND USThe gateway to Ånderdalen National Park
Ånderdalen national park on Senja preserves a diverse North-Norwegian coastal landscape of 125km². Parts of the forest dates back 600 years and remains of old settlements show us this area played an important role for the inhabitans since the stone age. The varying terrain of soothing rivers and lush woodland provides a rich and peaceful wildlife protected by majestic mountains.
FOREST
The camp lies at the front gate to Ånderdalen Nasjonalpark, a quiet and gentle pine forest with perfect hiking terrain for all ages. The fresh air and calming nature surrounded by mountain and sea is a perfect example of the Norwegian outdoor experience.
MOUNTAIN
Senja is known by the locals to have some of the best mountain hikes in both winter and summer. Peaks like Lonketind, Sjursviktinden, Blåfjellkollen and Skatvikfjellet tower proudly above the southern region of the fairytale island.
FJORDS
Norwegian fjords are a thing of natural beauty. They can be steep or gentle, narrow or wide. The ice that once covered the island of Senja carved out a vast and varied fantasy landscape. The fjords are excellent for fishing, kayaking and maybe swimming, if you are up for a challenge.
